The weather was half sunny, half rainy this week. When I went to the Capitoline Museum, I wished I had brought my umbrella because it was raining. Thankfully when I had my outdoor excursions, the sunny weather felt like spring.
Since I went to the zoo with my Sustainable Environments class, I got to see many cool animals this week! My favorites are the turtles and sea lions, but we also saw tigers, monkeys, capybaras and more. The zoo in Italian is called bioparco. "Bio" means "life," and "parco," means "park!"
In Italy, there are many birds. From the terrace at my school, I often see green parrots. There are also lots of pigeons and since Rome is close to the coast, I see seagulls every now and then too!
Locals say that rain at the turn of the season is really common, but not the amount we've been getting!
