I’ve learned that Peru is actually the birthplace of the potato. There are over 4,000 different types of potatoes that are native to Peru and they come in all kinds of colors, shapes, and sizes. Seeing how much work goes into planting them has helped me understand how connected people here are to the land and the seasons.
