After the winter holidays such as Christmas, Yule, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and New Years, the winter weather and grey starts to get a little tiresome. After a few snow days, everyone seems to be counting down the days until spring. That is why there is much celebration about the end of winter!
However, while I was in Mohács, winter had a resurrection. Not only was in incredibly cold, but on the day of the river crossing ceremony, the wind and current were so fast that festival organizers had to cancel the event for the safety of the Busos. Weather can always strike at ironic moments!
