I believe we have finally hit the turning point in winter. In previous weeks it has been cold, rainy--or worse, icy-- with very little sunshine. Now the sun is finally coming out and it is staying warm in the 60s.
In Hungary, I mainly see dogs out on walks with their owners. I do get to see one dog more than usual. My fellow Fulbrighter, Jackie, has Mini Sheltie named Meeko that I see very often. Otherwise I see pigeons, crows and ducks in the parks.
I recently went to the park on St. Margit's Island to soak in the sun. It's a great place to relax and watch the river go by. During this visit, I was extremely surprised when I saw what looked to be an entire tree floating down the river! I was not expecting to see that.
