When I was living in Delhi, the program that I did was a service fellowship bringing Americans and Indians together to work at NGOs across India. I made one of my closest friends who was based in Hyderabad, Telangana, working on women's economic empowerment. For the past year, my friend has been based in Delhi, also conducting research under a Fulbright grant. She came to visit me for a few weeks, and we've been having lots of fun exploring the cafes and beaches of Goa. Although I have been here for a month, I still feel very much in the center of adjustment and settling in here, so it has been really nice to have a close friend with me to both help out with the logistics and remind me that I can have fun here as well!
