Finding Fresh Water

Is this need being met? How?:

Water for the Bajau village of Langgapulu comes from Ulunese falls, a beautiful mountain stream ten miles away. The district government pipes the water for five miles from the downstream section of Ulunese to Langgapulu. Residents of Langgapulu have to manage moving the water for last stretch of 300-800 meters between the stilt houses on their own. This is because the water pressure this far out is not strong enough to draw to every single house. Instead, two members of each family paddle boats laden down with ten to 20 jugs of water. Often the work is done by mother and daughter pairs. Can you imagine spending this much time each day to get glasses of fresh water to drink?
