I didn't travel far! Prishtina is the capital of Kosovo, and for the most part, my life takes place within a two mile radius of my apartment.
I've traveled pretty far! New York to Kosovo was about 4,600 miles. Since I've been living here, I've traveled about 2,300 additional miles.
Let's just say I've spent a lot of time riding buses through the Balkans!
This week I traveled entirely by foot! There's no need for me to drive while going about my life in the city, so unless I'm taking a bus outside of Prishtina, I walk pretty much everywhere! I actually really love it, and it's one of the things I'll miss most when I get back home. Living car-free saves money and fuel emissions, and it has made me so much more observant of my surrounding environment.
I love going to restaurant and cafes! This might not sound exciting to you, but it was exciting to me! I have a tendency to find my spots and stick to them. This week, however, I mixed it up and visited a coffee shop in a rustic old home off a side street, and I really enjoyed it. It had excellent coffee!
