Cold. I told my mom last week that I had yet to feel seriously cold since arriving. I think I jinxed myself! We had the coldest weather of the winter this past week, with temperatures dropping to the teens and about an inch (maybe two) of snowfall, which made walking around the hilly city a serious challenge. I'm pleased to report I haven't wiped out... yet!
Dogs! Dogs everywhere! Unfortunately, Prishtina (and Kosovo as a country) has a serious stray dog problem, so serious that the government and nonprofit groups began a push to tag them as vaccinated and neutered. If you see a dog on the street with a tag on its ear, you're free to adopt it.
This isn't exactly part of nature, but the New Year's Eve celebration in the city center were really exceptional.
