There is now a bus that is smaller to navigate the very narrow and steep streets and can take you through the Oberstadt all the way up to the castle. The public elevator was built to allow easy transportation from the parking garage and main part of the city up into the Oberstadt directly. These public services have created a city that is more traversable and accessible! If the weather creates sidewalks that are too slippery, I will take the bus up the hill to avoid potentially falling. Bridges in many spots go across the river Lahn as it flows through the city to allow easy access to both sides of the shore.
