Traveler Bio

Hello everyone! My name is Daniel, and I come from Western New York close to the city of Buffalo. I am 22 years old and just graduated from college, where I studied Linguistics (how languages work) and Cognitive Science (how our brains let us think, feel, see, and hear). I was very fortunate to receive a scholarship called a Fulbright Research Award, allowing me to do research and take courses in Germany after I graduated in May!

I now live in a city in Germany called Marburg - a place with extremely old buildings and a castle that many of the fairytales you have read are based on! Here, I do research on how our brains understand the sounds we say when we are talking to one another. To do this, I get to meet a lot of people and record what's happening in their brains when they listen to speech. When I’m not in the lab, I love to explore Marburg, try new German foods, learn the German language, and meet people from around the world. I’m looking forward to sharing this adventure with all of you!
