Spanish is definitely the main language in Monterrey, but you will hear English and Korean pretty often. There are a lot of people from the U.S. and Korea who have moved to Monterrey.
Monterrey uses the Mexican peso, like the rest of Mexico, but because it is so close to the U.S. border, there are a lot of places where you can exchange dollars for pesos (even at places like HEB).

This week, I have listened to Aitana and Yami Safdie a lot. They are going to be coming to Monterrey for the Tecate ‘pal Norte music festival, and I want to learn all the lyrics so I can sing along. My favorite songs are: Segundo Intento (Second Try) and Música en el Cielo (Music in Heaven) by Aitana, and Amigos para Que (Friends for What) and Tu Amiga (Your Friend) by Yami Safdie.
