School starts at 9 in the morning and ends around 4 in the afternoon.
Alvin and Damu are both driven to school by their parents. Distance is what keeps them from walking by themselves, however, children in South Korea usually can walk to school.
Both Alvin and Damu eat lunch at school. Alvin's favorite food is babybel cheese, which is the cheese that is in red wax! Damu loves anything sweet like candy but he also likes spicy shrimp chips!
Alvin and Damu both attend an English academy, where they speak both Korean and English. "Ann-yeong-ha-say-yo" is how you say "Hello" in Korean!
Unlike some schools in Korea, everyone at Alvin and Damu's school has English names as well as Korean names. Some popular names are Mark and even Alvin. Damu is Damu's Korean name that he kept since he thinks it is easy to pronounce.
Everyone at the academy studies English, Science, Math, and Korean. Both of their favorite subjects are Science and they know so much about the solar system!
