Kids In South Korea

Introduction:

Kids in South Korea are very similar to kids in the United States. They love to play video games, talk about sports, and they love sweet treats! I was not allowed to enter schools around my area because of privacy reasons, but I was able to meet with two kids, Alvin and Damu, who were excited to talk to me. Alvin and Damu both speak Korean and English and my friend is their tutor for English. Alvin was more talkative while Damu was shy but both revealed what everyday life was like for them!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast, both boys usually eat an omelet with rice or sweet pancakes (pancakes that have syrup inside). Damu usually likes to eat chicken and rice cake noodles for lunch and he loves sweet snacks like little slices of bread with fruit. For lunch, both Alvin and Damu eat on a tray like American kids but it usually contains rice and some type of meat curry. Their dinner consists of traditional Korean meals like bibimbap and kimchi!

What is your house like?:

Both Alvin and Damu live in apartments in Seoul. Their apartments are nice and they both get their own playroom and bedrooms! Like many other houses in Korea, they have a tall shoe cabinet at their door so they can stow away their shoes when they come home.
