Big Cities

Introduction:

I spend a lot of time in Seoul, so I've come to notice a lot aboutabout this city! It's very different from Pittsburgh, which is where I'm from.

What community need did I learn about?:

I learned about small neighborhoods in Seoul. They're all very different: some look like my small town, and others are blinking with bright lights everywhere, showing how busy and densely populated these places are.

Why does the community have this need?:

Different communities have different numbers of people. This, in turn, can influence the number and type of stores in these areas, the nature of the transportation system and even the appearance of the homes. At night, Seoul is very bright and fun! This is why the evening is one of the best times to get good food.

Is this need being met? How?:

Seoul is such a big city! It has both buses and taxis that take you everywhere. As a result of these different transportation methods, plus the subway, many people don't own cars. Also, since so many people live here, Seoul has a lot of tall buildings called high rises, which look like skycrapers. Since there are so many businesses like restaurants and grocery stores in the city, many places have bright lights. These make people want to come in. It is hard to convey to you quite how densely populated Seoul is.
