Nuri's Land

Introduction:

In South Korea, there are not many animals that we see everwhere like lizards or snakes or beetles... but there's a lot of stray cats and dogs! We have a school cat, and his name in Nuri. People don't buy cats here; they usually take them in from the street, like we did Nuri!

What does this creature or plant look like?:

He looks like a cat: he has orange and white fur, and he's always dirty because he plays outside.

How did I feel when I saw it?:

At first, I was scared of Nuri because when I first met him, he was sick. But now, I'm used to him. It's Nuri!

Where does it live?:

He has a little house outside of a convenience store on campus.

How does it use its environment to survive?:

Cats who don't have homes usually try to find warm places for the winter, but we let Nuri inside at night if he wants to be.

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

Foods like onions, garlic, raw meat, and many others can hurt Nuri, so the woman who runs the convenience store nearby sells food that we can buy for him. He picks favorites, though, which is why I am not the one who buys him food!
