Sights and Smells of Maastricht

Introduction:

I don't necessarily think all the questions (what does it look like, what does it feel like) are the best representation of what the nature in this city is like, so, I'm going to do this my way! I've attached a few pictures of what a regular day around the city is. First, leaving my house, I see the somewhat sparse (bare) trees starting to grow again. As I walk a little further, I see gorgeous green grass. I've lived in big cities for many years, so it's actually wonderful getting to see open, grassy areas.

I also ran into this gorgeous blooming pink tree. I wasn't sure what it was at first but turns out, it is a cherry blossom tree!

Finally, I walked over to the river. Fresh water is an amazing smell and so characteristic of the Netherlands. This means that when you think of the Netherlands, these small little "canals" are what people always think of.

What does this creature or plant look like?:

This tree is gorgeous. It's bright pink which happens to be one of my favorite colors!

How did I feel when I saw it?:

I actually stopped on my walk because I wasn't expecting to see these trees. I ran into them by accident! :) The street was liked with at least six of them, and it was stunning.

Where does it live?:

I didn't know this before, but cherry blossoms are actually very common in the Netherlands.
