This week I traveled to France and Switzerland. It is about an hour by plane to France and a two-hour train ride from France to Switzerland.
So far on my journey studying abroad, I have traveled to a few cities/towns in Italy and across Europe. In Italy, I have been to Monterosso al Mare (a beach town) and Siena (a city). Outside of Italy, I have explored two cities in France (Lyon and Nice) and the city of Geneva in Switzerland!
This week I got around by doing a lot of walking. I averaged 13 miles of walking one day during my time in France! I have also used public bikes to get around, which I found easily accessible during my time in France. Public transportation is also a great way to get from one destination to another.
The most interesting place I visited this week was the Cathedral of Siena. The outside of this building is beautiful and designed with pretty sculptures. The inside of the cathedral consists of many frescoes (paintings) and unique sculptures that were made hundreds of years ago.
