The weather this week has been a mixture of sunny as well as cloudy or rainy days.
This week, I saw plenty of cats and dogs around the streets in Florence, some of which were stray animals freely wandering around. I also saw a giraffe and a pelican at a zoo in France, which was pretty cool.
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was several plants in the botanical garden of Lyon, France. The plants come from different countries, such as Cuba, Sri Lanka, Japan and others. Specifically, the plant Rondeletia odorata, which originated in Cuba, stood out to me because of its bright pink and orange leaves.
I hiked up the Jardin du Rosaire (the rosary garden) in Lyon, France. During this hike, I was surrounded by beautiful, colorful flowers and views of the city. I even spotted a bumblebee drinking nectar from these flowers, which was lovely to see.
