I traveled a lot this week, as just getting to a place called "The Great Ocean Road" took 300 kilometers (186 miles). In addition to that trip, I had to travel another 200 kilometers (124 miles) around the city to go to the animal sanctuary I visited this week, bringing my total weekly distance to 310 miles. If you have not noticed, in Australia, we use kilometers as the unit of measurement for distances, unlike the United States, which uses miles. Even though I have been here for a month, I still rely on the internet to help me convert distances into miles, as it takes some time to get used to the metric system. I am getting better, however!
At the start of my journey to Australia, I had already traveled 10,503 miles (16904 km) just to get to Australia from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Since my arrival, I have been going to the city of Melbourne for my classes or just to hang out with my friends pretty frequently. If I had to guess, I think I have traveled around 13,000 miles (20921 km) in total already!
