Australians speak around 300 different languages, showing just how diverse Australia is. The most common languages spoken here are English, Mandarin and Arabic. However, I have only heard English and Mandarin spoken here, despite Arabic also being a top language spoken here!
In Australia, people use Australian Dollars (AUD). One U.S. dollar equals about 1.59 Australian dollars, making things here cheaper than back home! Even though this is the main currency in Australia, many people here, including myself, use their physical or digital cards. It is crazy to think that I have not yet used any Australian cash during my time here!
For a single bottle of water, it cost around 0.85 Australian cents, which is only about 0.50 U.S cents. Back home, a single water bottle would cost around 1.50 US dollars!
This week's best meal was a grilled cheese and a latte with cinnamon topping for breakfast at Seven Seeds Coffee Roasters. It was really good, and I am definitely coming back for more coffee!
