All I have to do is tap my Myki (transportation) card on the card reader, and that is it! I do not have to tap off, and I can ride the tram as long as I want. In some cases, it is even free, depending on your location. When I do not use the tram/bus, I usually walk as the weather is so lovely right now!
This week, I visited a cool place called the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton Gardens. It was built way back in the 1880s and is important because Australia’s first big government meeting happened there, marking the birth of the nation. I went to see it because I heard that everyone at the University of Melbourne has to take their final exams here, which is scary to think about!
Besides traveling to fun places and exploring, I have also spent a lot of my time in the lab. Luckily, the lab is only a 15-minute walk from where I live, so getting there has been relatively easy. Throughout my time here, I have learned a lot of techniques and concepts that I never even thought of, and I will not lie; it can sometimes be overwhelming, but that does not stop me from giving it my all to do my best!
