Hello everyone! For this field note, I interviewed my wonderful host sister, Irene. I truly enjoyed hearing her responses and sharing them with all of you!
My full name is Irene de la Fuente.
I live in Spain, with my parents and my little brother. We live in an apartment in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. There are shops nearby, and we are also close to nature—like parks and even mountains.
My family is Spanish. My dad is an entrepreneur and my mom is a primary school teacher. I have three brothers. My brother Joel, who lives in Zurich, Switzerland with his wife, Pablo, who lives in Paris, France and David, my youngest brother, who lives at home with my parents and me in Barcelona. We love traveling together, having fun and laughing a lot as a family.
I usually take the bus because there is a bus stop right in front of our house and buses come often. If I’m staying close to home, I like to walk—especially in the summer when the weather is nice.
