This week was relatively sunny compared to other weeks; luckily my laundry was able to dry! A couple days of sun is rare in the dry season, but when it is sunny, you really feel it. Because we're at such a high altitude, the sun is a lot stronger, so you heat up fast and get sun burn even faster. I'd been out in the sun for less than 15 minutes and ended up with a strong burn.
I saw a lot of stray dogs and cats which are very common here in Peru. I also got to go out into the campo (field) as part of a summer camp I'm helping run, and see some frogs, fish and lots of different kinds of birds. Flamingos are native here and migrate north from Argentina once a year. Farm animals are also common, with lots of cows, horses, pigs, chickens and especially sheep.
