An Interview with Sam!

Some days are longer, and some are shorter. 

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

I drive myself. Yes, I have been going by myself for around ten years now. Even when I was little, I would take the bus on my own. 

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

I eat lunch at school. I love when the school makes hamburgers. 

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak Czech, English and German. Dobrý den! 

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

Simon, Thomas, Peter, Sam and Honza for boys. 

Eliška, Anna, Adéla, Tereza and Karolína are popular for girls. 

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

World history, English, Czech, German, math, science, geography and physics. I love my English classes! 

What is your homework like?:

Homework is not very common in the Czech Republic. Most of our work is done in the schools. If I am doing any work at home, it is to study for a test. 

What do you like to do after school? Do you have a favorite sport or game?:

I love riding bikes! It is such a fun way to get outside and see nature. In the winter time, I enjoy a lot of cross country skiing and ice skating. 

Who is your favorite famous person?:

Billy Strings! I love American country music, and his is some of the best.
