Travel in Cameroon

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

Travel is very connected to the environment in Cameroon. During the rainy seasons, travel to some regions changes and requires patience or four-wheel drive vehicles. The roads are often unpaved dirt and heavy rains create muddy areas where cars get stuck and the erosion can create large holes that make some roads impassable except by motorbike or four-wheel drive. However, rain makes motorbike travel difficult. When the roads are wet and there is mud, it is easy for the bikes to slip and fall over. The last time I was in the Dja, it rained and it took the same amount of time to walk as it did for a person to travel by motorbike because he fell over so many times.
