It is also important to have the trash collected and not just rotting in the streets. It helps to keep people, animals and other wildlife healthy. Keeping trash off of the streets and yards allows water from the rain to get into the earth and replenish our drinking water supplies in aquifers! Unfortunately pollution is a big problem in the community I live in.
Both of these needs are being met by government organizations. The Water and Sewerage Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (WASA) supplies clean drinking water. The Solid Waste Management Company takes care of the waste being produced here.
