To get to the celebration, I traveled about 50 miles.
I have been to the southernmost point of the island, which is 50 miles from where I live.
I took a Maxi to get to Siparia. I also took an Uber to get to Port of Spain (the capital) to get a burger with a friend.

I went with a friend to go watch a movie at the mall, and we ended up taking a private taxi. These taxis are people's personal cars, and they cram 4 passengers in. It was an uncomfortable ride, but thankfully, it was a short one from the Maxi stop to the mall.
