Your excitement and sharp memory showed just how much you’ve been paying attention.
My time in Berlin is coming to a close, but I’m bringing home a lot more than just photos and memories. I’m taking with me the excitement and wonder that you brought to this experience. You reminded me that learning is a two-way street, and that sharing what we know can make us better thinkers, better learners, and better people.
I hope that learning about Germany made the world feel a little bigger, and maybe even a little more reachable. One day, maybe you’ll walk along the Spree River, visit a museum on Museum Island, or do your own research project in another country. But even now, right where you are, there’s so much you can explore—by asking questions, learning from others, and staying curious.
Thank you for letting me be a part of your classroom and your learning journey. You’re an amazing group of students, and I’m so grateful for the time we spent together.
With gratitude and encouragement,
Emma
P.S. Remember what I told you about science: it’s about trying, making mistakes, learning from them, and trying again. Whether you're solving a math problem, making new friends, or figuring out what your future looks like, keep experimenting, keep learning, and keep going. You've got this.
