Even though the instructor speaks in Slovak, I am still able to follow along. Some of my students were also involved in a floorball tournament this past week. I was not able to attend, but I did get to hear about the games from my students. They seemed to have a really fun time!
On Monday, November 24th, I celebrated my name day! In Slovakia, each person has a name day as well as their birthday. Because of this, people have very similar names in Slovakia. Even though they do not have Emily as a common name, I was able to celebrate with the name most closely aligned to mine, Emilia. I was given a few small treats, and I made a few baked goods to share with the other teachers.
