I hiked up to the top of Cerro San Cristobal, which is a tall hill in the middle of Santiago city. They have an ice cream shop on top!
I read the book Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes. Don Quixote is a story about a man who thinks he is a knight and goes on silly but brave adventures, like fighting windmills he believes are giants, while his funny friend Sancho Panza tries to keep him out of trouble.
I did some rock climbing at a local climbing gym near my apartment in Santiago! It was my first time visiting a new gym in santiago, and the people were really welcoming and helped me figure out some of the routes.
This week I officially started my Fulbright grant! We kicked things off with two days of orientation and presentations. I got to meet other students in my program and learn all about their research. People are researching some really cool topics, from volcanoes, glaciers and water conservation, to Andean condors and penguins.
