The weather could be described as humid with a touch of boiling hot. Every day, the sun rises at around six in the morning and does not stop shining until six in the afternoon. Every hour from then on is blazing hot, with little wind or breeze to help cool you down. As I walk to class, I arrive drenched in sweat. I usually leave my apartment with an extra half an hour before class begins just so I have at least 20 minutes to cool down before I have to sit in a room full of other sweaty students. Still, Thai students are so used to this weather that honestly, they are not fazed at all. We had one blissfully cool evening this week where the wind actually picked up speed and moved some tree leaves around.
This week I saw fish-not just any fish, though. Unfortunately, these were biting fish. Though the bites were harmless and honestly didn’t hurt, having fish nip at me while I was soaking my feet in the small ponds while touring the National Park was still a shock to me.
I also saw plenty of stray dogs roaming the streets as usual.
