Bread and Cheese, Please

Introduction:

So far, I've only had the chance to eat very small meals. I went out with friends for lunch one day, and then I ate by myself in a cafe as well. Other than that, I've mostly been eating bread at my apartment. Admittedly, while bread might not seem that exciting, I was quite excited to try a traditional French baguette (a crusty breadstick about two feet in length and two inches wide) which is probably the most famous French food of all!

What food did I try?:

I also tried pasta with burrata and tomato sauce; not super adventurous or even traditional French food, but the pasta was prepared differently from what I am used to from back home.

How did I feel when I tried it?:

The food was fresh and delicious!

How is the food prepared?:

The pasta is boiled in water, then topped with tomato sauce. On top, there was one burrata. Burrata is a cheese where the outside is mozzarella and the inside is creme with softer cheese, making for one of my favorite cheeses!

Is this food connected to the local environment? How?:

Burrata, and the mozzarella that it is made from, is more Italian than French. But cheese, or in French fromages, is a very significant part of the French diet, and the French are world-renowned for their delicious cheeses.
