I have to read a book review for the manga series "よつばと!" (Yotsubato) which translates to "With Yotsuba!" It's a slice-of-life manga series that follows a little girl through mundane activities like shopping and activities on a rainy day. I'll read the book review about it for class, and maybe I'll pick up an actual book to read.
I'm not a huge fan of sports, but I did play "Guess Who" with my fellow Aoyama Chatroom leaders at a welcome event. For context, I'm working for Aoyama Gakuin University as a "Chatroom Leader," which basically means I'll run a table where students can practice English. Aoyama hosted an event for the Chat Leaders to talk, get to know each other, play games and eat snacks.
I've opened a Japanese bank account. I'm still waiting to get my cash card for the account, but I can start earning money and sending it from the U.S. to Japan for me to spend. That's kind of an adult thing to be excited about and look forward to.
