Dear friends,

This is my autobiography, or a story that I've written about my life so far. I ended up changing rom a home-grown Michigan boy to a person making a life here in El Salvador. I was born in Midland, Michigan with two older sisters, who are eight and four years older than me. They led the way for a lot of my life, getting me into various sports like running and soccer, and other things, too. I followed the lead of one sister and started playing the saxophone at age 12. From there, I was able to get into math and science while keeping active in music, which I kept pursuing in high school and later when I went to college.

I started college by studying in the School of Music, Theater and Dance as well as the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan, planning to earn a degree in classical saxophone performance and in biomedical engineering. Being in both schools was a little too overwhelming for me, and I wanted to graduate in four years, so I dropped out of music. The majority of parents and important people in my town had engineering, medical or law degrees, so anything outside of those subjects was considered a "hobby" and not a career.
