哈囉 hāluo/hi everyone!
We’re approaching our 10th week, which unfortunately means that it’s almost time for me to say goodbye. I’ve had a great time sharing my experiences in Taiwan so far. Writing these articles about different facets of life here has also allowed me to reflect more on my journey.
I’m in the first year (out of two) of my graduate degree, so I still have some time left in Taiwan. Nevertheless, it’s crazy for me to think about how far I’ve come since I first touched down last August. I’ve made lots of great friends from all over the world, learned so much about the political economy and life in Taiwan and explored this beautiful island. This past week, I even got my local motorcycle license, which means I’ll be able to buy a scooter and explore even more.
To the class, I hope that you’ve found what I have shared to be interesting and meaningful. The world is vast, but if you look, there are interconnections everywhere. You can probably see some of those connections between Taiwan, Hawai'i, Italy and Romania.
