On Monday and Tuesday, I still could feel the sunshine left over from the end-of-summer weather. Thursday and Friday had pouring rain. Everyday it was quite windy because Wellington is the windiest city in the world!
When I went to the Harbourside market, I saw many dog owners bringing their dogs to the harbour. Many of the dogs were friendly and the owners would let you pet their dogs if you kindly asked them. I also saw seagulls and pigeons resting on the concrete near the harbour.
I saw a green wall full of plants. This is called a "Living Wall" that helps improve air quality and reduce noise levels in the city!
I am always amazed at the butterflies and the birds' ability to fly in Wellington. When I was walking down the street and a butterfly flew into my face because of a strong gust of wind! Wellington is the windiest city in the world: last week alone on average the wind speed picked up to 20 miles per hour!
