Darren Liu is a sixth-grader living in Shenzhen, China. He lives with his parents and grandparents in an apartment. Below are his responses to the questions I asked him.
I eat steamed buns, eggs and soymilk at home for breakfast. For lunch, I eat whatever they serve at school. For dinner, I eat what my parents cook.
I live on the 6th floor of an apartment building. There are three rooms and two bathrooms, and we have a nice view of the city.
I do not do any chores at home. My parents take care of everything because they just want me to pour all my energy into studying.
My parents both work in the human resources department for a university in Shenzhen.
School starts at 7am and ends at 5pm.
My parents drop me off at school in their car. I sometimes take the bus back or wait for them to pick me up after work.
