大家好 (Hello everyone)! My name is Zoya Luo, and I'm a 21-year-old from Sacramento, California. Growing up, I spent my weekends exploring historic Old Town Sacramento, taking long drives to San Francisco, and going to dance lessons. For college, I decided to stay close to home and attend the University of California, Davis, where I study Managerial Economics. Now, I'm a senior spending my final quarter abroad at Fudan University in Shanghai, China! I was able to make this experience possible in part through the Gilman Scholarship, which has helped fund a portion of my tuition.
I'm especially excited to learn more about China, experience everyday life there, try delicious food, and explore more of my Chinese heritage. I can't wait to share what life is like on the other side of the Pacific and take you along on my journey. I hope you'll learn something valuable, and maybe even discover something new about China, through my experience!
