Convenient transportation

Introduction:

As a native Los Angeles city girl I'm used to all types of transportation. However, the most common and most convenient form for me is driving! That is not the case in the city of Bordeaux. Many people rely on public transportation to get all around the city for work, school, shopping or just to go out. Due to this high demand, transportation is accessible and convenient. I take the tram to the University of Bordeaux Montaigne everyday during the week. So I have found it to be a good idea for me to buy the monthly tram card for 39 euros which is good for all busses, trams and boats in Bordeaux. So far, it's definitely worth having access all month long.

How do people get around?:

In Bordeaux, people get around by driving, walking, biking, taking busses, riding trams and motorcycles and taking the metro. I've seen many people take one or more of these options. I usually walk and take the tram every day.

How did I feel when I tried this way of getting around?:

When I first hopped on the tram, I didn't know where to scan my card because it is not required to scan a card before accessing the platform, here. I was confused at first but then I took noticed where others scanned their cards. So I scanned my card once I was inside the tram, which is usually on the right side of the tram doors.
