The weather this week was hot and humid, despite the occasional bout of cloudy and rainy weather. It is the beginning of the rainy season of the year here in Guatemala
This week I saw stray dogs in the streets of Rabinal, cats and parakeets in my hotel. I found a beautiful lizard on a wall and some birds in my backyard.
The coolest thing in nature this week was a rain flood I witnessed. One afternoon, while I was inside working out, there was a heavy rainstorm for about two hours. When I left the gym, I found that the streets in Antigua had been flooded! Some cars had stopped working. This was cool to look at, but also sad for the people stuck in the rain.
