I traveled to Tafi del Valle this week, which is about 68 miles from the city of Tucumán. This beautiful valley is surrounded by mountains and wild horses. Here, I got to hike and spend time with some of my local friends
Thus far I have traveled 6,735 miles. I traveled 6,000 miles to get to Argentina from the state of Arizona and then within Argentina I have visited a couple of different places, which have taken me 735 miles around Argentina.
This week I used the bus system called Tucubondi. There are many buses that cross the entire city and they cost 30 cents to ride. The system can be confusing at times. Once you get the hang of it, the buses are fun to use!
The most interesting place I visited this week was Mollar. I helped a couple of my local friends finish a project for school and we also got to see some amazing views. Here, I learned about the indigenous people that used to live in the area. There are many different words used in this mountain area and they are influenced by the language of Quechua (pronounced keh-choo-ah).
