I travelled from Accra to the capital of the Eastern region known as Koforidua, which took about two hours. It was almost 90 kilometers to the east from where I live.
In all of my journey so far I have travelled many miles to each region of Ghana. I have ventured all the way to the North, back down to the South, then spent the weekend in the West, and now I have just come back from the East. All of the regions are completely different in their own ways but are a lot of fun to explore. I think the Volta Region in the West was my favorite!
I got around by using trotros and taxis as usual, except this week I also got to ride in a coach bus, which had great air conditioning.
One of the most interesting places I visited this week was a wood carving market. They had many other things other than wood, including earrings made of fabric! I love big earrings, so when I saw them I knew I had to buy them.
