I traveled 83.4 km from Atenas to Mastatal. That's 51.82 miles!
I have finished my field trip, and now I'm back home in Atenas.
We traveled in a big van with all the students.
I went to Finca Siempre Verde. This was a sustainable farm that does ecotourism. Travelers pay money to stay at the farm and learn about composting, diverse crop rotation and permaculture. These are all things that make the farm good for the environment.
I also got to take a fermentation class. I learned about the science behind it, how good bacteria break down the sugars in foods to make them tastier. They also give these foods probiotics, which are good for our digestion.
