I took a two hour flight from Padang to Jakarta, which are cities located 580 miles apart!
I took a 14 and a half hour flight from New York to Tokyo (6750 miles), then a seven and a half hour flight from Tokyo to Jakarta (3600 miles). To get to Indonesia from New York, I flew 22 hours in total and traveled 10,350 miles! And that's not counting any of my vacation travel...
I used motorcycle and car taxis from Grab and Gojek. I also used BlueBird, which are just like New York's yellow taxis, except they're blue.
Definitely, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah was the most interesting place!
Jakarta's traffic during rush hour can be so bad that a 30-minute ride can turn into a 90-minute ride!
