Taking the metro was also quite the experience. I still struggle with figuring out what train I need to take, but it has definitely gotten easier!
Yes it is! Not only do people in Greece walk everywhere and take the metro, but basically all of Europe uses the same system! It is a huge part of European culture to walk everywhere and take the train or bus. City environments are always walking-friendly and make it easy to get from point A to point B.
