Pack Your Bags; We are Going on a Trip!

This weekend we are going to visit one of the most popular cities in Quintana Roo, Tulum! As it is known for its beautiful beaches, historic ruins and great food, I know we are going to have a blast.

After we finish class on Friday, we hop in a taxi and head straight to the combi station to catch the next van to Tulum
When we finally get to Tulum over three hours later, it is getting dark, so we drop our things at the hostel and head out for dinner
Of course we have to try the tacos... nothing but chewing and big smiles
With full bellies and tired eyes, we walk around the city center and find an ice cream shop (paletería) and fresh flower stand
Before bed we take a quick dip in the pool and meet some new friends!
The next morning we enjoy our breakfast on the swings, and we make sure to eat a lot, because we have a big day ahead of us
Our first stop of the day are the Mayan ruins of Tulum, where we are greeted by this awesome sign!
After leading through the jungle, the path opens up to beautiful ruins that seem to be almost falling into the water!
