Travel News

How far did I travel this week?:

I went to the other side of Seoul. It takes me a while to get there, but it is always refreshing to see other parts of this city.

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

The farthest I have traveled on this journey so far, apart from the 4000 miles I travelled between Hawaii and Seoul, is to a city that is 4 hours away from Seoul. I went there because there was a K-pop concert there. Unfortunately, I didn't get there early enough to explore the city.

How did I get around this week?:

I took the metro again. I also tried one of the electric scooters around campus. But I almost fell off because I went over a rocky part on the sidewalk.

What was the most interesting place I visited this week?:

I went to the BTS Pop Up Store! It was filled with so much BTS merchandise everywhere. Plus, they had a bunch of areas around the store to take pictures.

Other Travel News from this week:

Another protest is happening! This protest is about the wages for the metro workers. In Korea, people over the age of 55, use the metro for free. While this is convenient, it has led to elders riding the metro for the air conditioner during the summertime. This leads to the metro workers having to work harder to accommodate all the people. They are trying to get the metro company to increase their wages.
