The Itinerary:
My classes recently ended, and my job hasn't yet become full time, which means that I have some free time in which I do not need to be in person in Switzerland. So, I decided to backpack around Europe on my own! The plan was to fly from Geneva to Dublin, Ireland then Dublin to Plymouth, United Kingdom, then Plymouth to Krakow, Poland. After, I planned to ride the Flixbus (the MOST budget transit option ever) west from Poland and make stops along the way until I either hit Switzerland, or hit the end of my budget. Whatever happened first.
During our call, y'all caught me on the first leg of my journey out in Dublin! I went there to meet up with some old friends who are also studying abroad. You may find in university that everyone tends to study abroad around the same time (fall semester of junior or senior year), so its quite popular to meet up with all your friends if you are on the same continent! This is especially true for friends who all study in the Schengen region, because crossing borders is simplified with a Schengen area residency permit. I can show you mine on our next call because its generally unwise to post photos of your ID online!
