Throughout the course of this past weekend, I had the amazing opportunity to go on a trekking tour through the jungle of Mae Taeng. I was so excited to have the chance to learn about a lifestyle so foreign to individuals like me who come from the city. The tour took place over the course of three days, and my group  traveled a bit more than 25 miles. The whole time, we were completely submerged in the natural environment. There was no mobile service or WiFi, and we encountered massive amounts of vegetation, unique spiders and tea made with bamboo. We also took part in village homestays.

The adventure began with the group traveling to an elephant farm, where we were able to feed and bathe these large, majestic animals. At first, I thought the elephants looked like the closest things I have ever seen to a dinosaur, just because of their massive size and the interesting look of their feet. The animals were so incredibly smart and playful.  While we were bathing them, they often filled their trunks up with water and sprayed us. In addition, they provided really wet kisses and tight hugs with their trunks, which are incredibly strong, since they're all muscle.

After the farm, we began our trek throughout the mountains.
