Me, Busan, and a Boatload of Fun

They lit up the sky and reflected in the water—all of the yachts in the water lit fireworks as a pre-show for the drones. Stunned by the breathtaking city nightscape, I watched hundreds of drones ascend into the sky, flying in patterns to create spectacles matching that night's theme: Amusement Park. The Gwangalli Marvelous Drone Light Show is South Korea's first permanent drone light show, operating every Saturday. Watching drones make designs above a beach from a yacht was truly an unforgettable experience.

Songdo Beach, Marine Cable Car, & Cloud Walk

I met up with friends at Songdo Beach. Sogdo Beach opened in 1913 and was one of the first public beaches in South Korea. It was later restored in 2000. My friends and I had a picnic, ate fried chicken, listened to music, built sandcastles, dug a hole, and even swam in the water! Songdo Beach's average water level is 3~5 feet (1~1.5 meters), making it wonderful for swimming. Later, I rode the Songdo Marine Cable Car. It soared high above the water, at 282 feet (86 meters) above sea level. Guess what? The floor of our car was made of glass! I felt like I was flying while I was admiring the breathtaking view of Songdo Beach! I also walked along the Cloud Walk, a bridge that sticks out over the ocean with clear sections so you can see the water below. Walking along this almost 1,200 feet (365 meters) skywalk made me actually feel like I was walking on water!

ZM-illennial (Jimin's Dad's Café)

Busan is the hometown of Jimin and Jungkook from BTS, so of course, I had to visit Jimin's dad's café, ZM-illennial! The café was full of gifts (bouquets, letters, photos, and more) from BTS fans, art, signed albums, and even Jimin's Billboard Music Awards!
